Cal Band is amazing! I'd go to a football game just to see the field show done by the marching band xD But yeah Cal Band is really good, I saw them at a battle of the bands thing between a few other California universities (Stanford, Humboldt, UCSD, UC Davis, and UC Irvine) last year. It was really fun watching, they're all really good musically.
